CTI was founded as a Tennessee corporation in 1992 by Alan Mullen and Steve Harden, both former TOPGUN instructors and longtime residents of Germantown/Collierville, Tennessee. The company has grown steadily and now employs over 200 course developers, instructors and administrative staff in 19 states. The company headquarters is located in Memphis, TN. Other major CTI offices are located in Omaha, NE, Marysville, CA, Indian Springs, NV and Geilenkirchen, Germany.

CTI currently provides Crew Resource Management (team training) to all units of the Combat Air Forces, Air Force Reserve Command and most units of the Air National Guard. In addition, CTI provides contract training managers, instructors and course developers to Air Force formal training units at Offutt, AFB near Omaha (RC-135 & E-4B platforms) and Beale, AFB (U-2 Spyplane) in central California. Additionally, CTI provides training managers, instructors, and course developers for the MQ-1/9 for the USAF at Creech AFB, NV and Holloman AFB, NM as well as the ANG at March JARB, CA. Over the last decade the company has become the “C3ISR” (command, control, communications, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) training provider of choice for not only the USAF but NATO. CTI maintains a TOP SECRET security clearance.
